There is a Vi-emulation extension for VS2010, it might be available for VS2011.
Tools->Extension Manager, Gallery, look for VsVim.
Last update was 7/26/2011 (v1.0.3.0), so it, at least, is still being developed...

Yes Darren,

Visual Studio 11 Developer Preview is a fairly recent software and the installer still doesn't works.

We still working on it and maybe will be fixed in the next ViEmu release.

I have tested this when running in Windows 7. VIEmu will not install for VS Dev 11. This is the developer preview of the next VS.

Sorry, but officially at this moment we are not working in any ViEmu release working in windows 8.

So, I installed Win8 and the full Dev11 build (not the express that comes with Win8). ViEmu doesn't install; it says:

Any suggestions on how to force it to install? I'm *so* not looking forward to writing code without it !
