Re: [Suggestion] Beep in NORMAL when input language's not English

Hi,

I was working today when I accidentally hit Alt-Shift, switching the current language to Arabic, without noticing it. After which I spent a couple of minutes tring to figure out why Vim normal mode navigation wasn't working anymore, disabling and enabling it, until I noticed the language bar.

Might be a good idea to beep or something if the user presses an invalid/non-english character in normal mode.

Re: [Suggestion] Beep in NORMAL when input language's not English

Hi,

I'm not totally sure I like the idea (these characters are actually mappable to any command, using ex mapping commands, they just have no function by default, same as ASCII '\'). But in any case it could be a user selectable setting you could activate. I'll take not for a future version.

Thanks,
