Try creating a macro(qw) that includes a mark(mz) then a search for something(/xxxxx) and then a jump to the mark ('z).  It never will make the final jump back to the mark when the macro is replayed with (@w).

Anybody else have this problem?  Is there a work around?

John, I've tried it here and indeed the behavior is buggy. I initially thought you might be using an old version and it might be the problem here:

But that's not the case. It's probably related somehow, though.
