Re: Newbie(?) Q - equivalent to Shift + ArrDown (Up); selecting text

Hello all,

is there a way in VS of doing the equivalent of Shift+ArrDown (Up) to select block of text for copy/deletion/comment out without moving your fingers from the home position? I find that often when I go back and forward between the main keyboard and arrows I lose orientation.

Yjaml upi.

Regards,

R.

Radski, the standard form is to use visual mode: type 'v', then move around to select. Here, yo u can use 'y' to yank (copy), 'd' to delete, etc...

If you want to operate linewise, use 'V' (uppercase 'V') to enter visual-lines mode.
