With the default settings (incsearch, hlsearch, use visual adornments) the incremental search does not highlight the found items incrementally; you have to press Enter to get any highlighting, which is extremely inconvenient.

I can't check this right now, but as far as I remember, the VS2005/2008 viemu worked as vim does, highlighting the item under cursor while search is in progress.

I'm using ViEmu 2.5.10.

You are right, incremental search highlight has not yet been implemented in the VS2010 version of ViEmu. But our plans are to incorporate it in the next release of ViEmu, which will probably be ready later this week.
